TOADN ELECTIONS—President-elect
Kelley Bazemore, PhD, RN - Del Mar College
Kelley Bazemore, PhD, RN (from Del Mar College, Corpus Christi) would like to serve as the president elect, then president, of T-OADN. She has indicated her support of T-OADN’s mission to advocate for ADN education and registered professional nursing practice. Her nursing experience includes more than two decades as an ADN. Kelley is prepared to fulfill the designated duties, as specified in the by-laws, including presiding in the absence of the President, serving such other capacity as the Board may direct, being the liaison between the Board of Directors and the Director of Professional Development, and performing the other duties that ordinarily pertain to this office. Kelley indicates she is uniquely qualified to serve as the president-elect because she has a surprising amount of time available on her calendar and lots of creative energy since she completed her terminal degree. She is completing her tenth-year teaching in higher education and currently serves as chairperson of her department’s Curriculum Committee. Kelley’s professional passions include all things related to Open Educational Resources for ADN programs, student success on the NCLEX, and the use of the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model. Kelley has shared her research findings through Teaching and Learning in Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau.
