Bio - Dr. Karla Ross
Dr. Karla Ross has been a nurse since 2006, and has worked in nursing education since 2010. She has served as the Director of Associate Degree Nursing at Blinn College since 2018.
Along with her role at Blinn, Karla works as a prn staff nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the Medical/Surgical and Oncology units.
Karla earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from American Sentinel University, Master’s Degree in Nursing Clinical Research Management from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center,
a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from Texas A&M International University, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University.
She also holds the Certified Nurse Educator and Certified Clinical Nurse Educator credential.
Karla has served as an ACEN site visitor since 2018, and a team chair since 2022, and is a member of the Evaluation Review Panel. She is a member of American Nurses Association,
Texas Nurses Association, National League for Nursing, Texas Deans and Directors for Professional Nursing Programs, Organization of Associate Degree Nursing and Texas Organization
of Associate Degree Nursing.
