Joan Becker holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Hunter College-Bellevue School of Nursing in New York and a master’s degree in nursing education from New York University.
A full-time faculty member since 1990, she has taught in the college’sAssociate Degree Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Allied Heath programs. She has also taught at Lincroft University in New Jersey, Malboro Psychiatric Hospital, Medical City-Dallas, Medical Center of Plano and Excelsior College.
As a registered nurse, she has worked at Bellevue Hospital, a visiting nurses association, Medical City-Dallas and Medical Center of Plano. She is a member of the National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing and the Texas Nursing Association.
